The app catalog is the list you pick from when you connect an app. Tallyfy is already there and needs no sign-in, because you’re signed in to Tallyfy already. Slack is the one you sign in to yourself.

Slack is the only app you sign in to today. The Google connectors are built and switched off, which the next section explains.

Google apps aren’t in the picker

Gmail and Google Drive are built. They’re switched off, and they don’t appear in the app picker at all, so you won’t find them and click Connect for nothing.

Google requires a security assessment1 before an app is allowed to ask for the kind of access these two need. Tallyfy has decided not to pursue that assessment for now, so this is a choice rather than a wait. Turning each one back on is a single setting if that decision changes, so nothing has to be rebuilt.

For a while they were in the catalog with nothing behind them, so clicking Connect returned an error before Google was ever contacted. Hiding them is the fix.

Finding an app

The picker searches across the app’s name, its description and its category, so you don’t need the exact name. If what you want isn’t listed, ask an admin to add it, or ask Tallyfy to review it.

Tallyfy reviews an app before it shows up for everyone. Tallyfy also mirrors the public directory of MCP servers, which is the open standard AI tools use to talk to other software, and those arrive hidden until someone at Tallyfy has looked at them. So the picker only ever offers you apps that have been through that.

An organization admin can add an app Tallyfy doesn’t ship by entering the web address of its MCP server, and Tallyfy works out on its own how that server signs people in and what tools it offers. Tallyfy checks the address before it will talk to it and refuses anything pointing at a private or internal network, and the new app stays private to your organization until Tallyfy has reviewed it.
