Tallyfy allows users to enhance task descriptions by adding images videos files tables links and other multimedia elements directly into the description area to provide clearer instructions and improve task completion.
Add videos to a task
You can add videos to the description of a task to provide visual instructions. There are two main ways to incorporate video content:
- Embed from Video Sites: Link to videos on platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
- Upload Video Files: Upload video files (MP4, WebM; up to 100MB) to Tallyfy.
This approach is usually best as it gives better video quality and uses less Tallyfy storage. Embedded videos also load faster and maintain better performance.
- Edit the task description.
- Click where you want the video.
- In the editor toolbar, click Insert > Embed URL.
- Paste the video’s web link (URL) (e.g., from YouTube or Vimeo).
- Click Insert.
- A video preview should appear in the description.
You can upload video files if needed, but remember the 100MB file size limit. Supported formats include MP4 and WebM for optimal compatibility.
- Edit the task description.
- Click where you want the video.
- Click Insert > Video in the toolbar.
- Choose the Upload option.
- Select the video file from your computer.
- Wait for the upload and processing.
Using embedded videos (Method 1) is generally recommended over uploading files for better performance and storage efficiency.
