Rename a process

How can I change the name of a running process?

Click directly on the process name at the top of any running process and type a new name - that’s it. You can rename processes anytime after they’re launched to keep things organized.

  1. Find and open the running process you want to rename (from the Tracker view works great).
  2. Click directly on the current process name at the top of the process view.
  3. The name becomes editable. Type your new name.
  4. Press Enter to save.

Edit Templates > Rename a template

Tallyfy templates can be renamed in two quick ways: through the Settings menu by clicking the template name in the settings panel or directly clicking on the template name in Edit view and selecting the rename option with changes only affecting future processes started after the rename.

You can modify various properties of running processes in Tallyfy including the process name owner deadline tags folder location and notes by accessing the Settings button from the Tracker view which opens a panel where these changes can be made without restarting the workflow.
