Gmail add-on
The Tallyfy Gmail Add-on lets you manage Tallyfy tasks and processes directly from your Gmail inbox, saving you from switching back and forth between apps.
- A Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) or a standard Gmail account.
- An active Tallyfy account.
- Permission from your Google Workspace admin to install add-ons (if applicable).
- Basic knowledge of how Tallyfy works.
- Create tasks: Turn an email into a Tallyfy task easily.
- Launch processes: Start a Tallyfy process based on an email.
- Track status: Check on your Tallyfy tasks from within Gmail.
- Save time: Less switching between Tallyfy and Gmail.
- Keep context: The original email stays linked to the task or process you create.
- Go to the Tallyfy Add-on page in the Google Workspace Marketplace ↗.
- Click Install.
- Follow the steps to give the add-on permission to access your Gmail and Tallyfy info.
- After installation, you should see the Tallyfy icon in the right sidebar of your Gmail.
When you open an email in Gmail, you’ll see the Tallyfy icon in the sidebar on the right.
- Click the Tallyfy icon to open the Tallyfy panel.
- If it asks you to, sign in to your Tallyfy account.
- Choose what you want to do: Create Task, Launch Process, or View Tasks.

- Click Create Task in the Tallyfy panel.
- Give the task a name (it will suggest the email subject).
- Set a due date if you need one.
- Add any extra notes.
- Click Create.
- Tallyfy creates the task and attaches the email content for reference.
- Click Launch Process in the Tallyfy panel.
- Choose the Tallyfy template you want to use.
- Fill out any required starting information.
- Choose who to assign the process or tasks to.
- Click Launch.
- Click View Tasks in the Tallyfy panel.
- See a list of your assigned Tallyfy tasks.
- Check their status and due dates.
- Click a task to see more details.

- The Gmail website on your computer.
- It also works in the mobile Gmail app, but might have fewer features there.
