Here’s why people don’t like Microsoft Forms
The software has limited customization, a lack of advanced question types and limited integration options. Also has data export and reporting limitations and restricted collaboration features.
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
I don’t like the feature that lets you rearrange the order of the fields. It’s not as simple as drag and drop, even though at first glance it looks as though it is.
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
The amount of questions I use is limited and the choice for answers is limited to about 6. It’s mainly for short quick surveys. Project Manager in the Education Management industry, 11-50 employees
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
There seems to be some limitations to the question types that can be used. Feels a little basic too at times. The customizations seem limited.
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
The software lacks a mobile app, and real time group collaboration provisions for survey creation is absent. These are key limitations that have greatly affected the efficiency of my team. Sales Marketing Manager.
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
Sometimes it doesn’t load very well but maybe it’s network problem or anything else.
Microsoft Forms review on G2
If you are a power user of Microsoft Forms you can rapidly come up with a limit to how many forms you can use. This needs to increase to make this less of an issue. Teacher in the Education Management industry, 51-200 employees
Microsoft Forms review on GetApp
It does have limits like being unable to capture e-signatures natively (I think there is a separate integration for this). Employee in the Architecture & Planning industry, 1-10 employees
Microsoft Forms review on GetApp
It has some limitations such as advanced data analysis or CRM integrations and is not very customizable. In addition, security could be affected by belonging to a network.

Participants still believe you can trace who responded even when ticking the option to not record name and email.

We’re now even more limited than we were before the update and there are tons of accessibility issues with the new update. Also, the mobile versions cuts off my text which wasn’t a problem before.

Performance issue and bad service support.
Microsoft Forms review on Gartner
It does not provide you fancy options to include in your survey forms. The User interface could be improved. Product Manager
Microsoft Forms review on Slashdot
I would strongly prefer a form service to have a wide variety of customization features to be able to change everything from the font color and size to the arrangement of the content on the page… I would also love to see more options for displaying results.
Microsoft Forms review on Slashdot
Forms is not a way to have a form someone fills out with their info and submits to us. It’s for polling essentially, correct?

Embedding can cause lots of issues, such as putting your website at risk of cross-site scripting (malicious attacks), not working well (or at all) on mobile devices, and having a negative impact on SEO.

The fact that there’s a limit to the amount of responses, and limitations to the customization of the fields. Game Developer in the Computer Games industry, 2–10 employees
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
The pricing structure of Microsoft Forms is very frustrating. Having to buy the the whole 365 suite in order to use Microsoft Forms is bad. Student in the Computer Software industry, 501–1,000 employees

I cannot customize it like i want and some file types are not allowed. Office Administrator in the Utilities industry, 201–500 Employees
Microsoft Forms review on Capterra
When I create the form there’s no instruction or warning about the limit of the form, besides, when exceed the limit of the form still allow to create more option?????????? When delete the answer/option from a drop down list, if delete from the top auto jump down to the bottom? Super ineffective and time consuming while making the form should be the fastest thing to do in the office. The last, even though exceeding the limit, there’s no option like: delete in batch, or split the the answer into new question -> have to delete 1 by 1??

I get a negative pissed-off feeling directed at Microsoft / the AI for making assumptions about what I am thinking, and telling me how to do my job.

When I email a link to a quiz to my students and they access it through Microsoft Forms through 365 instead of my email they are getting access to my editable version – which of course they can see the answers and do everything i can do with it – see all the groups responses etc.

Tallyfy does not charge for basic services
Need help? Unlike costly “professional services” for Microsoft Forms – Tallyfy guarantees free 25-minute screen-sharing calls with workflow experts for life.
Tallyfy is the only workflow software whose pricing is discounted using the GDP-per-capita of your primary country. If you qualify you get an even better product with even more value. Choosing Tallyfy over Microsoft Forms is a no-brainer.
Microsoft Forms is a basic form builder that lets you create surveys and quizzes. While it’s integrated with Microsoft 365, it’s just a form tool – it doesn’t handle what happens after someone submits a form. This is a major limitation since most forms trigger important workflows that need tracking.
What exactly is Tallyfy and how is it different?
Unlike simple form builders, Tallyfy is a complete workflow system that tracks every step after a form submission. It transforms chaotic processes into smooth, trackable workflows. Teams typically save 2 hours per person daily by automating their operations, ensuring consistent quality, and scaling without friction. The key difference is that Tallyfy doesn’t just collect data – it makes sure the right things happen with that data.
Why are standalone forms like Microsoft Forms problematic?
Standalone forms create a “submit and pray” situation – you submit a form and hope someone does something with it. This leads to lost requests, unclear status, and constant follow-ups. Every form kicks off a process involving multiple people and steps. Microsoft Forms doesn’t track or manage what happens after submission, leaving you in the dark about the status of your request.
Does Microsoft Forms have country-specific pricing?
Microsoft Forms doesn’t offer GDP-based pricing for different countries. In contrast, Tallyfy provides thoughtful lifetime discounts up to 90% off based on each country’s GDP per capita. This ensures fair pricing globally and makes powerful workflow software accessible to everyone.
How does Tallyfy handle process improvement?
Tallyfy makes process improvement simple and collaborative. Users can leave comments directly on processes, which go to process owners for review. This creates a continuous feedback loop that helps refine workflows over time. Unlike Microsoft Forms, which is static, Tallyfy enables dynamic process evolution based on real user feedback.
How does AI integration work in Tallyfy?
Tallyfy integrates AI thoughtfully where it matters most – not just as a generic chatbot. It can automatically convert existing documents into digital workflows, handle file uploads, and even control your computer for self-driven automation. This practical AI approach delivers real value, unlike basic form tools that lack automation capabilities.
What security standards are supported?
While Microsoft Forms offers basic security, Tallyfy goes further with BIMI and HSTS security standards compliance. This ensures robust protection for your sensitive workflow data and helps prevent phishing attacks.
How can I see what customers say about Tallyfy?
You can read authentic customer reviews and success stories at Tallyfy’s customer stories page. These reviews showcase how real organizations have transformed their operations using Tallyfy’s workflow capabilities.
Does Tallyfy offer free professional services?
Yes! Unlike Microsoft Forms where you’re on your own, Tallyfy provides free professional services to ensure your success. To learn more about these services and get started, schedule a chat with our team.
How can I try Tallyfy?
Tallyfy offers flexible trial periods customized to your needs. To get started with your trial and have a demo instance prepared specifically for you, book a demo with our team.
