Managing Active Processes
Working with Active Processes
Running processes sometimes need adjustments. Tallyfy gives you flexibility to manage processes without losing control.
Editing Active Processes
You can modify a running process:
- Add steps - Insert new tasks when needed
- Remove steps - Delete steps not yet started
- Reorder steps - Change the sequence
- Change assignments - Reassign to different people
- Adjust deadlines - Extend or shorten timeframes
Reassigning Steps
To change who is responsible for a step:
- Open the process and click on the step
- Click the current assignee
- Select a new person or group
- Optionally add a note explaining the change
Adding Comments
Communicate within the context of the process:
- Add comments to specific steps
- @mention team members to notify them
- Attach files to comments
- Comments are part of the permanent record
Handling Exceptions
When things do not go as planned:
- Skip steps - Mark as not applicable for this process
- Pause process - Temporarily stop all deadlines
- Cancel process - Stop completely when no longer needed
- Add notes - Document why exceptions occurred
